This low abject brood,<br \/>\nThat fix their seats in mediocrity,<br \/>\nBecome your servile minds; but we advance<br \/>\nSuch virtues only as admit excess,<br \/>\nBrave, bounteous acts, regal magnificence,<br \/>\nAll-seeing prudence, magnanimity<br \/>\nThat knows no bound, and that heroic virtue<br \/>\nFor which antiquity hath left no name,<br \/>\nBut patterns only, such as Hercules,<br \/>\nAchilles, Theseus.
