Honeymoon Island or Fort De Soto are two of my favorite places to walk. Morning or evening is the best for an hour or two of walking. I enjoy these places because there is an abundance of diverse wildlife either in the ocean, the sand or the trees. Once your off the beaten path, even if it’s only to a minor degree, you’re surrounded by an ecosystem unique to our local region.
I find value in the solitude of these natural places and the serenity that comes from the noises of the natural world. Opposed to our booming and constant commotion. It’s a great time to think and indulge in curiosity.
