In the book into the wild Chris McCandless leaves his backpack in the desert and goes to Las Vegas with no money and no ID. He doesn’t feel he needs these things.” it is the experiences, the memories, the great triumphant joy of living to the fullest extent in which real meaning is found.” Thoreau would like this idea because it is living very simply and that is what he believes in. He thinks experiences are very more important than having things or money.
One literary element is setting, setting means the place and time of the book. The setting of Thoreau’s book Walden is important because he is doing this to go back to nature so that he needs to be in the country in that setting. If this book was set in the city it wouldn’t be the same. Its also the time of the transcendental movement where people believed in living a simple life.
I think it would be satisfied of the Thoreau because he would be shocked and that would be easy with electronics for him.
I feel most peace when im outside and at home where i can just be alone with all my thoughts and knowledge.
I think this book is gonna be very interesting. This book is written in old writing and it will be hard at first and then i will be more interesting.
