ParticipantI think a pond is not in my best interest, it usually is within a community making it closer than society than actual nature. Bringing your dog on a walk with you, for me, is a great idea, allowing you to interact with an animal while being alone in nature. I believe Thoreaus idea best works when we just in nature away from any societal contact with enough time to let us reflect ourselves and our futures.

ParticipantToo bad the beach closed down from Corona. I do love the sounds of the beach, a great place to relax and walk around and probably a reason for why I want to become a marine biologist. I don’t think walking on the beach on spring break during spring break is a good idea. The best part, as you said, is during sunset since it’s less populous during that time and everything during that time looks amazing.

Participant1. I would most likely take the Pinellas trail in Dunedin considering that I live right by it. Hardly anyone uses the trail, besides the occasional biker that passes by every 10 minutes, so it’s the best isolated spot I can think of. The trail connects from Tarpon Spring to St. Petersburg, filled with trees and other wildlife. Walking down the trail early in the morning is possibly the best time; it allows one to clear their mind and the weather still hasn’t warmed up yet allowing one to take longer walks. I usually just use the Dunedin portion, but I believe it was better if I took the unfamiliar route to Clearwater since it would be more exciting.
2. There are a couple main benefits for walking. Walking down the trail allows one to clear their mind of any social responsibilities for the time being, therefore reducing stress and enabling one to enter a calm state. It gives us time to self reflect on ourselves and a sense of freedom from everyday life in society: not bound to our expected routine but towards a new and wild path.
